Diocesan Young Adults' Conference

2010 is a "Year of Thanksgiving" to God by the Diocese of West Malaysia. We are celebrating God's goodness and faithfulness over the last 40 years.
In line with our celebration, we are pleased to inform you about the upcoming Diocesan Young Adults' Conference, held from 23rd - 25th July, jointly organised by the Diocesan Youth Council, Bahasa Malaysia & Indigineous Works Committee, Diocesan Tamil Board and Diocesan Chinese Youth Ministry.
Our theme for this conference is "Taking to Heart the Commands of God (Deut 32:46)" where we hope to encourage the young adults to live out the commands God has given us, which is to love one another as He has loved us and to be His salk and light in the world. There will be four difference speakers for the theme talk sessions for the various language groups:
Dean Kuan Kim Seng for the English-speaking;
Pastor Kenneth Wong for the Chinese-speaking;
Pastor Jesvinder Singh for the Tamil-speaking; and
Pastor Juining Babia for the Malay-speaking

A string of interesting activities have been lined up and you'll have the opportunity to play host to our guests from our companion dioceses of Lichfield, Myanmar, Sabah, Kuching and Singapore. Among the highlights of the conference are:
'Cultural Nite', where all participants are encouraged to dress in traditional attire and also come up / participate in a performance for the night.
As the conference takes place in Melaka (historical state), there will be ample free time for some sight-seeing and exploration of this quaint historical town.

The fees for the conference vary according to the sharing of room. More details can be found on the conference registration form. Please note that the closing date for registration is 30th June 2010 (Wednesday), where a surcharge of RM20 will be levied on each registration received thereafter.
