The Southern Archdeaconry Worship Conference was held on the 5th-6th June 2010 at St. Christopher's Church. The conference led by Geoff Weaver began on Friday night, the 4th of June with a time of Praise & Worship followed by a message by Geoff.  The Conference officially began the next day at 9am. Archdeacon Ven. Edward John opened the Conference with prayer. The time was then handed over to Geoff who emphasized how songs & music is powerful and can touch us. It helps us to express what we cannot in words.

After the coffee break, we were made to realize that songs can express feelings of sadness, anger and joy. It helps us in deliverance, penitence and assures us of God’s peace. After lunch, we learnt that worship is also about waiting and trusting on God. Worship is not passive but brings hope and changes situations. Worship is to celebrate victory, which is ours to be. The act of worship cannot be compromised. The Conference closed with a time of question and answer, praise and worship and prayer. 65 people from St. Andrew’s Mission Centre, Good Shepherd Church Seri Alam and St Christopher’s Church attended this fruitful Conference.
